Consolidated Warehouses
Two of our 25 distribution centers provide yet another series of advantages for Core-Mark customers. The two facilities are consolidated warehouses called Artic Cascade and Allied Merchandising Industry (AMI). These two divisions buy products from suppliers in bulk quantities and then redistribute the products to the majority of other US Core-Mark centers. AMI is located next door to the Corona facility and performs consolidated buying functions of many non-food products, specifically general merchandise and health and beauty care products. Artic is next to the Sacramento Division and performs consolidation buying of frozen product. These strategic facilities do more than just enable Core-Mark to deliver more competitive pricing to our customers. They also raise the quality and freshness of product through improved inventory turns and enable expanded product selection.
